One of the scariest feelings is when you are driving and one of your tires go flat.
Take a deep breath and put on your hazard lights then quickly find a safe spot to pull over or a ramp to exit off the freeway.
The 3 Things You Need To Change A Flat Tire
1. A Jack
2. A Lug Wrench
3. A Spare Tire
Keep these 3 items in your vehicle at all times.
The Quickest Way To Change A Flat Tire
1. Turn your lug wrench counterclockwise to loosen the lug nuts. DO NOT REMOVE THEM.
(Note: Lug nuts are tough to turn, will need to use extra force.)
2. Check your user manual to find out where to place the Jack. Crank up the Jack to lift the flat tire off the ground.
3. Remove the lug nuts off the tire and then remove the flat tire.
4. Add spare tire and line up the holes where the lug nuts will go. Push the tire on the wheel base.
5. Add and tighten lug nuts with your hand and then the lug wrench until they are snug.
6. Lower and remove Jack once the spare wheel is on the ground.
7. Now really tighten the lug nuts on the spare tire.
This is the quick and safest way to get you back on the road.
Remember, you need to make a service appointment as a spare is only for temporary driving.
